Month 6: iCreate Prompts

Are you finding it difficult to keep up every week? Do you prefer to scrap several pages at once? Would you like bigger prizes?

We’re changing it up to help you complete more layouts and stay caught up! ‘Cause I don’t know about you, but I don’t always have time to scrap every single week. I tend to work on this project once a month, at my own pace.

So here’s how the new format will work:

  • All 4 prompts will be posted on the blog when we release the new theme & collection
  • Each week we’ll post one of those prompts with inspiration from our creative teams
  • Submit all 4 layouts in 1 comment on the main monthly post (i.e., this post for June) to be entered into the drawing

1 random winner each month will receive:

  • $15 to Kami’s store (Ziggle Designs)
  • $15 to my store (SuzyQ Scraps)
  • a $10 gift certificate to Persnickety Prints

Does that sound cool or what? So let’s jump right in this month with the prompts. Remember, we’ll post every week with some inspiration, focusing on 1 prompt each week. Kami will be back later this week with inspiration for Prompt #22.

This month it’s all about creation, and we created this fabulous collection to help you scrap about it!

Prompt #22: iCreate
Some people think creativity is reserved for only the artists, writers, & musicians among us — but we are all creators. What are you creating in your life? Try finishing the sentence “I am a creator of …” or perhaps “I create …” Tell us about your creations and how creativity is expressed in your life.

Prompt #23: Your Creative Past
Share at least one thing you’ve created in your life — a child, a space, a project. Tell us about your creation, what you love about it, why you created it.

Prompt #24: Creative Blocks
The opposite of creation & building is destruction & destroying. But it is also the absence of creation. What do you do in your life to sabotage your creation? What stifles your creativity? What causes your creative blocks? Tell us about what keeps you from creating. Or simply share about an unfinished project & why you haven’t yet completed it.

Prompt #25: Your Creative Future
You are a powerful creator. Why do you create? What compels you to create? What do you want to create more of in your life? If nothing was stopping you and no one was in your way, how would you choose to express your creativity?

Feel free to post your layouts with each weekly reminder so we can see what you’ve been up to — but remember, to be entered into the drawing you need to post all 4 links in 1 comment on this blog post by Monday, June 20th at 11:59 pm Eastern. That’s 4 weeks to work on your layouts. :)

I hope you like the new format! Good luck, and keep smiling!

I love the new format of the prompts ! For me, it will be easier to choose the temps based on how much I have to say for a said prompt, and to “balance it” over the month !

Focus on the prompts that speak the most to you and do those layouts first, even if it’s out of order. You might then find motivation to do the others. :D

I unfortunately am “behind” as well..like still on the last prompt from the 2nd month, however, I did what Suzy said above and have gotten a few more pages done (from different months). I also found it helpful to type/write out my prompts before hand that way when it came time to scrap the page all I had to do was cut/paste the prompts onto my pages and then add/edit from there.

Slowly but surely I am getting caught up and am determined to finish this album by Dec. 31, 2011!

Love the prompts for this month Kami and Suzy and also love how you shared them in one post..it’ll be much easier for me to “catch up” now ;)
